This special page is step 2 of guiding you through what needs to be done in order to trust and act on your intuition much more consistently, leading to more success in everything you do. This page is designed to support people who have read the chapter by Tom Stone in the book –

Preparation for using this App
This unique app is designed to allow you to guide yourself through a series of audio instructions for doing the Pure Awareness Techniques. The Pure Awareness Techniques are a new technology for powerfully and permanently resolving emotional issues that undermine your success. They are also amazing for resolving all kinds of other emotionally based problems. Each technique has it’s own series of audio instructions. In order to have the audio instructions play smoothly without interruption the software is set to download the full sequence of audio clips when you click on the word START.
The Audio Instructions Downloading Process
The process of downloading the audio instructions for each technique will take from a few seconds to a minute or two depending on the speed of your internet connection. However, you only have to do this once as the audio clips are then held in the cache of your computer, smart phone or tablet. It is highly recommended that you download all of the audio clips for the techniques listed at the beginning of the application for each topic. When all of the audio clips have been successfully downloaded to your computer and/or mobile device the techniques are “activated” and ready to play.
The downloaded files are shared by most of the applications so if you use the techniques elsewhere on the site, once they are activated here they will also be activated anywhere else that you use them.
This is different on a phone or tablet. Phones and tablets typically don’t allow the sharing of audio files between apps so if you get more than one Inner Guidance app for your mobile device you’ll have to download the audio instructions for each app that you get and keep on your phone or tablet.
Choose Female or Male Voice
Choose if you want the instructions in a female or male voice and then click on the links below to access the page for each technique. Then click the START button to activate it and download the audio clip sequence for that technique. Do that for each of the techniques you will be using and then you’ll be prepared to get started.
The techniques needed for this app are –
Once the downloading process is complete you can start to use the techniques. To use the techniques you have to first be able to feel the sensation of the energy of the emotion that needs to be resolved. The instructions on the web page for each application explains how to do that. Once you can feel the energy field of the emotion you start guiding yourself through the appropriate technique by clicking or tapping on the button labeled “START,” The button will then change to the word NEXT and you advance through the audio instructions by clicking on the NEXT button for each new instruction.
Each time you click the NEXT button you get the next audio instruction for that technique. This allows you to hear the next instruction in your own timing. You take whatever time you need to follow each instruction and have the resulting experience. Then when you are ready for it you click for the next instruction.
How to get rid of clouded thinking and poor decisions
In the book I mentioned that I discovered that there are 2 main ways to greatly improve your ability to follow your heart and intuition and thereby be much more successful than you ever have been in the past.
- The first way is to remove the primary fear that blocks you from trusting and acting on your intuition. This turns out to be the fear of punishment.
- The second way is to learn how to remove the real root causes of clouded thinking and poor decisions that get in the way of recognizing and following you intuition.

When you have followed the guidelines and used the Pure Awareness Techniques to resolve the energy of the fear of punishment, come back to this page (there’s a link for that near the end of that page) and get started on cleaning up the energies that cause your ego and emotion based decisions so that you can naturally start to have more successful thinking and decision making.
The Real Causes of Clouded Thinking
The problem of accumulating lots of unresolved disruptive emotions is caused by something very simple that happens to everyone. When we are very young we all get emotionally overwhelmed many, many times. Nobody likes it. In fact we hate it and we rapidly learn to do our best to NOT feel the awful feelings of painful emotions that are just too much for us to handle when they occur.
This happens even before we learn how to speak. So the decision to try to avoid intense emotions is a “pre-verbal – feeling level decision”. As we grow up we forget that we made this decision but we have by that time developed a kind of unconscious habit of immediately suppressing our stressful or painful emotions so immediately when they happen that most people aren’t even aware that they are doing that.
Emotions have both Content and Energy
Emotions have both content and energy. The content is what the emotion is about. The energy is what gives life to the content. Most people focus on the content. This isn’t particularly effective for resolving the emotion. We focus on resolving the energy of the emotion that is giving it life. When the energy is gone, the emotion is gone and it is gone for good!
The 2 Kinds of Not-Useful Emotions
Typically you will have two different kinds of fear energy patterns in and around your body. Here’s a diagram of the two kinds of disruptive emotional energies.
As you can see from the chart there are 2 kinds of Disruptive/Depleting emotions – Painful/Internal ones and Reactive/External ones. They have very different energy fields as you can see from the graphics on the chart. So there are also only 2 techniques needed in order to resolve all of these accumulated disruptive emotions. These are called the IN and OUT Techniques.
In order to clean up your inner emotional landscape and free yourself from having so much mind clutter, you need to learn and use both the IN and OUT Techniques and to use them a lot to clear out the 2 databases of accumulated disruptive emotions.
The purpose of this app is to teach you exactly how to do that. Using the Inner Guidance App you can easily learn how to do the IN and OUT Techniques. After doing them using the app for a while you’ll be able to do them by yourself because they aren’t difficult. In fact they are pretty simple. But they teach you how to do the opposite of what you have been habitually doing your whole life. So that’s why you’ll need some guidance and practice in the beginning until you get the hang of it.

You May Not Realize It!
One of the tricky things about clouded thinking is that from inside of the state of clouded thinking it is difficult to even recognize that your thinking is indeed clouded. So generally speaking people don’t know that their thinking is clouded and they are making poor emotionally based, impulsive decisions. They are too caught up in this state of being and it has been their way of experiencing life for their entire life so they have no other frame of reference. This state of being keeps you from having the success that you want and deserve. You will be amazed at how much clearer and more confident you will be as a result of really starting to get rid of the disruptive emotions that are causing your clouded thinking and poor decisions.
When you are ready to start cleaning your emotional house, follow these guidelines and use the Inner Guidance App to guide yourself through each of the techniques at your own pace.
Three Kinds of Thoughts
If you watched the video at the top of the page you heard me explain that there are three kinds of thoughts that influence our decision making. They are:
- Thoughts from your ego
- Thoughts from your unresolved emotions
- Thoughts from from your intuition
The thoughts that come from the ego are caused by the reactive emotional energy clouds of OUT Technique energies.
Thoughts that come from unresolved emotions are typically IN Technique energies that are more localized and Internal
Thoughts that come from your Intuition are of a different quality. They usually speak to you in a soft voice and only speak once.
When your daily activity is filled with ego and emotionally based thoughts, you don’t realize that this is happening because you are so used to it that it just seems like you are having “normal” thoughts. You’re not aware of the emotional basis of these thoughts.
But as you clear away more and more of the energies that cause ego and emotion based thinking, you will notice that you are making more and more decisions that seem really right for you and that lead to successful outcomes.
Because you’ve been accumulating the energy fields at the basis of ego and emotion based thoughts all of your life, there’s some deep Spring cleaning to do. So use the app and clean up your inner emotional landscape. It is as you do this more and more that you will start to really get the benefit of clearer thinking and powerful, right decision making.
Finding & Resolving Suppressed Emotions
One of the keys to success with this process is to recognize that due to your pre-verbal conditioning of Resisting Feeling Things Fully, many of the disruptive emotional energies that are causing your disruptive clouded thinking and poor decisions are pretty well buried. After all, you swept them under the rug in order to not have to feel them. And you’ve probably become pretty good at emotional suppression. Most people do get pretty good at that. But of course this just keeps the unresolved emotional energy in your body. It doesn’t really get rid of it. They are still there under the rug!
So in order to access the disruptive emotions that you have done such a good job of hiding from yourself, you need to first make a decision that you are going to allow yourself to get access to them and to let yourself feel them. But you’re going to learn how to feel them in new ways that very efficiently resolve them… completely, rather than continuing to just store them in your body.
The LOCATE Technique
You will use what is called the LOCATE Technique which is a special way of finding and being able to feel the energy of these “stuffed” emotions. When you use the LOCATE Technique you are going to create a special state of being in which, when you tell it to, your body will show you the unresolved emotional energy you are after.
To use the LOCATE Technique you do these steps:
- Decide you will allow yourself to feel whatever emotional energy the body shows you when you tell it to
- You start by closing your eyes as it’s easier to do with eyes closed
- You take a few minutes to simply notice what’s there when you close your eyes
- You can still hear things like the audio instructions from the app and other sounds in your environment
- You can feel you body sitting in your chair or where ever you are
- And you will have thoughts coming and going in your mind
- You take a few moments to notice your thoughts
- Then you start looking off to the side of the thoughts and noticing that the thoughts are occurring in a background of silence
- Each time a new thought comes you look off to the side of it and notice the silent background again
- When you have a pretty good sense of the silent background you then tell your body to show you the next unresolved IN Technique energy that is causing you to have disruptive emotionally based thoughts
- Pretty much immediately the body will show you some tight knot or ball of energy held inside of your body somewhere
- As soon as you can feel it, shift to the IN Technique and resolve the energy of the emotion thoroughly
You can do this first with IN Technique energies. You can also use LOCATE to get access to your unresolved OUT Technique energies as well. Using the version of the LOCATE Technique for accessing OUT Technique energies will guide you through the same kinds of steps as above but prepares you to then shift to the OUT Technique at the last step. Then you open the OUT Technique app and go through it’s process to resolve the Reactive/External emotional energy clouds that the body has shown you during while doing the LOCATE Technique.
You can chose whether to ask for IN or OUT Technique energies, as you like. You have plenty of both of them so you won’t have any problem in finding things to work on.
Use LOCATE at least twice!
When you have resolved one of your disruptive emotions, either with IN or OUT use the LOCATE Technique again and tell the body to show you any additional remaining energy of that emotion if there is any. If there is the body will show you and you can use the appropriate app, either IN or OUT, to resolve whatever is left. When you do this use LOCATE until you use it twice and the body doesn’t show you any energy patterns both times. Then you can be pretty sure that you really got rid of all of the energy of that particular disruptive emotion. Here are the links to the various versions of the LOCATE Technique.
So Let’s Get Started!
To start the appropriate app, select if you want the instructions in a male or female voice and then click the appropriate link. You will immediately get a new screen with two large buttons on it. The one on the top says – START. The one below it says REPLAY.
When you click on the START button the button will change to the word NEXT and you will hear the first audio instruction that will tell you to close your eyes. This is because these techniques are easiest to do with your eyes closed. The buttons are big enough that you can just keep your thumb or the mouse cursor right over the button and keep clicking on it for the next instruction even with your eyes closed.
You Are About to Start the App and Use the Techniques
Here’s what you are going to do –
Click the appropriate link below for either the female or male voice, whichever one you downloaded. You will immediately get a new screen with two large buttons on it. The one on the top says – START. The one below it says REPLAY. The REPLAY button only plays the last instruction that you just previously heard. You can play it again if you need to but it doesn’t step back through the other previous instructions. To hear the early ones again you have to start over using the link for that at the top of the technique page.
LOCATE the Sensation of the Energy Causing Poor Decisions
To get started you first have to feel the energy field that caused the ego or emotion based thoughts that lead you to making a poor decision. Here’s how to do that.
Emotion Based Thoughts – IN Technique
Think of one of the times that you made a poor decision. You know what I mean by that, a decision that you regret that you made and maybe even wish you could do it over differently. There’s something that caused that poor decision and we are going to find and resolve it otherwise, if it is still in there it could possibly cause you to make another poor decision in the future. We don’t want that to happen… again!
Once you have thought of the poor decision, now use the LOCATE Technique and get access to the Quietness. Once you have a sense of the quietness tell the body (you can do it by just thinking this – you don’t have to say it out loud) to show you the IN Technique energy at the basis of your poor decision.
Pretty much immediately the body will show you some tight knot or ball of energy inside. This is the old unresolved energy of some old emotional pain that you have suppressed. This is the real source of the cause of your poor decision.
Shift to the IN Technique
As soon as you feel the energy field, click on the link for the IN Technique and then click the START button and follow the instructions to fully resolve the IN Technique energy that you have just found.
You won’t have to return to this page for the next link, it’s available right under the big buttons on the LOCATE Technique app page. (If this is the first time or one of your first few times doing the IN Technique, use the first way of doing it as the second way is easier to do after doing it the first way several times.)
Don’t Stop Until All the Energy Is Gone!
One thing that’s important is not to stop until the energy is really gone. In the beginning many people stop as soon as they start to feel better. Feeling better is good but having the energy completely gone is what we are looking for. That’s what’s going to free you to no longer be driven into an emotional based decision. So don’t stop just when it feels better. Keep going until there’s really nothing left.
The techniques are easiest to do with your eyes closed. The buttons are big enough that you can just keep your thumb (for smart phones) or the mouse cursor right over the button and keep clicking on it (or tapping) for the next instruction without having to open your eyes.
Start with the LOCATE Technique –
Opening Your Eyes
When you have finished resolving the energy of the cause of your poor decision you can open your eyes.
Once you have resolved the IN Technique energy now we want to resolve the reactive emotional energy or ego based part of what caused the poor decision.
LOCATE the OUT Technique Energy Field
Use the LOCATE Technique and tell the body to show you any OUT Technique energy field that caused you to make a poor decision. You will feel a kind of cloud or aura of energy that radiates out from your body into the space around you. When you can feel that, start the OUT Technique app and resolve it by simply following the audio instructions in the app.
When you have finished resolving one of the OUT Technique energies open your eyes.
You just got rid of one of the stresses has been causing you to make poor decisions.
You may feel lighter or you may feel a sense of freedom or relief. Or you might not feel anything in particular. The important thing is that you will be able to start having clearer thinking and making better decisions.

Getting More Support
If for any reason you have any difficult with doing any of the techniques on your own via the app, don’t worry. This is quite common. Remember that you have a lifetime of doing the exact opposite of what’s needed. So if you have any problem with it there’s no need to give up or think you can’t do it.
What you probably need is just a little help from someone who is really familiar with doing this and with guiding others through the process. Making Sure You Got It All!
In order to do make sure that you are really free of any remaining energy that was at the basis of making that poor decision and to make sure that it’s really fully gone so that you don’t do that again, use the LOCATE Technique repeatedly and tell the body to show you any other remaining energy that you might still be holding onto that could possibly contribute to making poor decisions. When you tell the body to show you any such energy and then you tell it a second time and get no response from the body both times, you can be pretty sure that you got it all.
One other point, after you have used the LOCATE Technique the first time or the first few times (you decide) you’ll be getting the feel for how to do it. We have a short version of the LOCATE Technique that you can use once that is the case. A Life Time of Accumulation
Remember that you have an entire lifetime of accumulating these unresolved disruptive emotions that are undermining your ability to make right decisions that lead to success. So in order to be successful with this process you have to take this on as a project. There’s a significant backlog to resolve. But it’s not limitless. There’s a finite number of these stored IN and OUT Technique energies so don’t be discouraged by the idea that there are a lot of them. Even if there are 100 of them or more if you resolve even one of them each day within a few months you’ll have an amazingly clean inner emotional landscape and you’ll be becoming really emotionally competent. And of course you can resolve more than one a day and go as fast as you like.
Remember also to be attentive to new stressful and reactive emotional situations that come up. Use IN or OUR or both of them, immediately, so that you don’t add additional unresolved energies to your 2 databases. It’s a bit like house cleaning. One big Spring cleaning doesn’t keep your house clean forever. You have to keep cleaning house periodically. It doesn’t mean that you didn’t really resolve the old disruptive energies, its just that life has it’s challenges and stresses and you will tend to have new disruptive emotions in reaction to the inevitable stresses that occur in your life.
Get Good at This!
Get good at doing these techniques. You can always use the Inner Guidance app on your smart phone or tablet if you are away form your computer and need to do that. And you will also become so good at doing the techniques that you won’t even need the app but you can use it any time you want to review or remind yourself of how to do the techniques.
You will find that you will become clearer and clearer about the distinction between your intuitive thoughts and your other thoughts. You’ll find that you can trust and act on your intuition more and more consistently as you get cleaned up. This will lead to more and more good intuition based decisions and actions which will lead you to be increasing successful in everything that you do.
